Enhancing Travel Experience: New Upgrades at San Jose del Cabo Airport
Exciting developments are taking place at San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD) in Mexico. This past fall, 18 new automatic document readers were installed, streamlining arrivals and reducing wait times for passengers.
With over 4 million passenger arrivals during the first half of 2023, Los Cabos has also emerged as the third most visited destination in Mexico, trailing only behind Cancun and Mexico City. Arrivals at SJD have surged by an impressive 16% compared to the same period last year.
To accommodate the growing demand, the GAP Group has acquired 80 hectares of land to build another runway within the next 10 years. These upgrades and expansions reflect the airport’s commitment to providing a world-class travel experience and ensuring Los Cabos remains a top-tier destination for years to come.
